An Oakland resident from Mexico who works as a truck driver was pursued and boxed in his car by ICE agents about a block from his home, according to court filings. Six agents surrounded him and showed him a photograph of what appeared to be a blank warrant with only his name typed in, then broke his car window with a hammer, used a baton to pry his leg from the vehicle, and slammed him onto the pavement. He could not walk by the time he reached ICE's San Francisco processing facility and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he remained in custody until a federal judge ordered his release.
