52-year-old day laborer dies fleeing Home Depot raid in Monrovia

A 52-year-old day laborer died after being struck by an SUV on the freeway while attempting to flee a federal immigration raid at a Home Depot in Monrovia. He worked to support his wife and four daughters. His death was one of the immediate casualties of the June 2025 mass deportation campaign launched across Los Angeles County.
