Federal agent fires two shots at driver during 4 a.m. vehicle stop on Interstate 17 in north Phoenix
October 2025 · Phoenix, AZ
In north Phoenix, federal agents shot at a driver during a 4 a.m. vehicle stop on Interstate 17 after the driver began to drive away. DHS said an officer fired twice because he was in the vehicle's path, but the Phoenix New Times reported that photos showed damage to the driver's side window, not the windshield, contradicting the official account.
