Feb 2025 · San Diego, CA, Iran
Zain, a 33-year-old Iranian man, was detained with his wife and 8-year-old son at the U.S. border. Officials immediately separated him from his family, placing him in one room and his wife and child in another. He asked to see his family many times. After four days, they finally let them see each other for just 15 minutes. Before the flight to Panama, officers put him in handcuffs and chains around his waist in front of his children and wife, which he described as 'really painful.'
