Angel, a 19-year-old photojournalist known on Instagram as apr_visuals, was documenting a protest outside the Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown Los Angeles following a 'No Kings' rally. After an evacuation order was issued, LAPD officers arrested several protesters and also detained Angel, holding him in custody for over two hours before releasing him without charges. Angel sustained bruises down the side of his face and cuts on his elbow during the arrest.
