A Forestville resident and citizen of Colombia was taken into custody by ICE agents on Tuesday, Oct. 13, near the intersection of Highway 116 and Templeman Road, between Forestville and Graton. County officials later confirmed the arrest was targeted, based on a warrant issued after the man received a final removal order from a judge, rather than a random stop or broader sweep. A community member who spotted unmarked ICE vehicles alerted neighbors by yelling and honking an airhorn before the arrest occurred, and the North Bay Rapid Response Network confirmed the detention later that morning. Sonoma County Supervisor Lynda Hopkins said the county would offer support to the man's family, including help with any lost income, through a county-funded deportation defense attorney program.
