A Venezuelan national who works as a Lyft driver and barber in Nashville was detained by ICE agents around 4:40 a.m. on Oct. 22 while making a drop-off at Nashville International Airport, according to immigrant advocacy group Music City Migra Watch. The group said the man has a pending asylum case and that his vehicle was later taken to an ICE field office. A passenger captured video of the detention, which prompted some rideshare drivers to boycott airport rides and raised questions about the airport's use of Flock Safety license plate cameras for immigration-related searches.
