A third detainee was critically wounded on September 24, 2025, when a gunman identified as Joshua Jahn opened fire at a Dallas ICE facility's controlled entrance, targeting a transport van containing detainees. The shooter, positioned on a nearby roof, fired indiscriminately at the facility. Jahn died by suicide shortly after the attack. Handwritten notes found at the scene indicated the shooter intended to instill fear in ICE agents, though the attack instead killed two detainees and critically wounded a third.
