During President Trump's first year in office, 4,750 undocumented immigrants were arrested by federal immigration authorities in Colorado, a near-quadrupling of the prior year's arrest rate. The data shows 38% of those arrested had no criminal history, compared to 17.7% in the prior year, contradicting federal officials' claims of targeting individuals with serious criminal records. Of those arrested, 78% have already been deported. Arrestees came from more than 80 countries, with notable cases including Iranians arrested in June and five Venezuelans removed under the Alien Enemies Act on March 15, 2025.
