New data from the Deportation Project reveals significant increases in ICE arrests across New York counties between 2024 and October 2025. Onondaga County arrests increased from 56 to 161, Erie County from 59 to 620, Albany County from 20 to 190, and Monroe County from 6 to 224. Analysis by the New York Immigration Coalition found that people from Central and South America, who comprise 25% of the state's immigrant population, account for 74% of ICE arrests.
