Mother and infant son deported to Mexico after detention and medical neglect

Mireya Lopez-Sanchez and her two-month-old son Juan Nicolas were held at the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas. The infant developed bronchitis while in ICE custody, and medical treatment was reportedly denied. A judge ordered their deportation to Mexico, and the family lost contact with relatives after being discharged from the hospital.
