ICE agents arrested 259 individuals with prior criminal convictions in the Houston metropolitan area between July 1-15, 2026. The individuals had entered the U.S. illegally and faced charges including sex offenses, gang-related crimes, drug trafficking, and other serious offenses. Many of those arrested were known gang members affiliated with organizations such as MS-13 and Surenos-13. ICE officials stated the operations were crucial for public safety.
