ICE hires 10 contractors to track up to 1.5 million immigrants for bounties

ICE has signed contracts with 10 private firms to perform 'skip tracing' and surveillance services to locate immigrants, offering monetary bonuses for successful tracking. Procurement records show the agency could target as many as 1.5 million immigrants, with contractors standing to earn over $1 billion by 2027. The firms include defense and intelligence contractors like Capgemini Government Solutions and Bluehawk LLC, as well as smaller companies pivoting from other government work into immigration enforcement.
