An Indonesian man who had lived in the United States since at least 2001 and held a valid employment authorization document was detained at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center. He filed a federal habeas corpus petition challenging his detention and sought to block his removal to Indonesia or any other country without notice. The government did not oppose his petition, and a federal magistrate judge granted it, ordering ICE to release him immediately under a written order of supervision and to return his official identity documents.
